Removal scope qualification
UPS Removal and Rigging Considerations
We buy new and used UPS systems. Send the brand, exact model, and size.
UPS removal and rigging decisions depend on the actual cabinet set, energized state, shutdown ownership, battery configuration, pathway, floor and elevator limits, loading conditions, site rules, and schedule. A quote request should expose those variables rather than imply that removal is automatically included.

Map the equipment and path
List each cabinet and provide dimensions and documented weights when available. Show how cabinets connect and which bypass, transformer, battery, distribution, or control components are included. Photograph the route to the loading point without exposing restricted information.
Measure doorways, corridors, thresholds, ramps, elevator openings, and turning points. Identify floor level, loading-dock type, staging area, overhead restrictions, and hours when movement is permitted.

Assign shutdown and safety responsibility
State whether equipment is energized, supporting load, in bypass, shut down, disconnected, or released for movement. Identify the party responsible for switching, lockout/tagout, verification of isolation, cable disconnection, and facility authorization. These responsibilities cannot be inferred from a sales form.
Battery cabinets and strings require explicit inclusion, chemistry, quantity, condition, and handling boundaries. Transportation or recycling may involve separate providers and requirements.

Confirm logistics in writing
A final scope should define labor, rigging equipment, floor protection, packaging, staging, freight, site supervision, schedule, insurance requirements, exclusions, and restoration expectations. Feasibility and cost allocation remain subject to review.
